Paul Ryan, Speaker of the House: "Obama's $10 tax proposal would cost motorists"
This USA TODAY headline says it all: President Obama is proposing another massive energy tax – and it's going to cost you.
There are two things you need to know about this tax.
1. It would kill good-paying jobs.
2. It would raise gas prices by an average of 24 cents per gallon.
A top White House official even said, "We recognize that oil companies will likely pass on some of these costs."
That's right: they admit this tax will cause more pain at the pump.
The good news is this tax is dead on arrival in the people's House. We're not going to let President Obama make hardworking Americans pay for his radical climate agenda.
