Popular Kalenjin female artist Diana Chelele has been hospitalized at Nakuru general hospital after her alleged failed attempt to kill herself over the weekend.
The Mpenzi wangu singer had been rushed to hospital when she was found unconcious on the floor of her hotel room.
According to sources close to her, Chelele's motive to commit suicide were the marriage and legal woes in her life.
The singer had travelled to Nakuru from Eldoret on her way to Kitengela where she was supposed to have a show during the weekend.
The "chuki" singer has had a controversial love life with her marriage reportedly on the rocks. In 2012 she was arraigned in court after being linked to death of an Eldoret surveyor but was later released.
