After all the vicious responses and insults from majority of Kenyan women on social media after her article, 'fat women, lets tackle the elephant in the room' on Saturday Nation the city girl Njoki Chege has come out to defend her infamous piece.
The size 8 columnist maintains the fact that there is a problem with fat women and it is not her problem if people view her article as fat shaming.
She also added that,"No apologies to make ladies. Work on what is wrong, stop blaming the world. If you cut down your weight to a healthy range, we won't lose you to diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure or kidney failure. Cut the weight down...live a long healthy life."
Here are some of her tweets.
If you call it fat-shaming then it means you are ashamed and that is not my problem, it is your problem. https://t.co/nnVumoartX— Njoki Chege (@njokichege) October 5, 2015 Seriously ladies, it is illegal for you to weigh 96kilos. You are not a cow, for God's sake. Let's go to Karura and run/cycle.— Njoki Chege (@njokichege) October 3, 2015
