Botswana: Botswana Court Ruling Respects the Human Rights of the LGBT Community

[HRF]Washington, DC -Human Rights First said the today's Botswana court decision to allow the registration of a lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights organization is an important human rights victory for the people of Botswana. The court ruled today that the Botswana government cannot deny registration to the LGBT organization Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Botswana (LEGABIBO).
