THE government will not lift the curfew in Lamu until security personnel are sure it is safe. Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo said yesterday there is still a security threat in the county. The IG was addressing journalists at Ocean Beach Resort in Malindi. He spoke after a two-day meeting between National Police Service and National Police Service Commission, which was expected to come up with names for the new police rankings in the service.
