Case withdrawn after man forgives Ethiopian friend

AN Ethiopian yesterday was charged with obtaining money by false pretenses. Bemihret Wolemikeal is accused of fraudulently obtaining $5,000 (Sh445,000) from Kamal Hashim, pretending he could sell him a studio. He allegedly committed the offence on March 4 in Eastleigh, Nairobi. Wolemikeal denied the charges before Makadara senior principal magistrate Timothy Okello. The case was withdrawn when Hashim said he has forgiven him.
