New Poll Shows More Americans Are Pro-life

by Kristan Hawkins: A new Gallup poll just showed more Americans consider themselves "pro-life" than "pro-choice" for the first time in six years.

Just in the past year, Americans who think abortion should be severely restricted or banned in all circumstances increased 7 points to 60 percent!

It's clear the momentum is on our side.

In fact, when our research arm, the Institute for Pro-Life Advancement, conducted a poll of Millennials in January, we found:

• Only 7 percent shared the position of the Democratic Party Platform – abortion without any exceptions and funded by tax dollars.
• 7 of 10 Millennials support limits on abortion through specific policies like parental notification, limiting abortions later in pregnancy like at 5 months of pregnancy, and opposition to government funding of abortion.
• More Millennials than not support Roe's reversal. Asked directly about support for overturning Roe and returning abortion to the states, 41 percent supported Roe's reversal.
• 65 percent support the right to vote on abortion-related policy and want a voice on abortion policy.
• 56 percent oppose selling Chemical Abortion drugs on-line or dropping the requirement for a physical exam because of the risks to women.
• By about a 3 to 1 margin (48 percent to 17 percent), Millennials said they preferred that their tax dollars went to Federally Qualified Health Centers rather than the abortion giant, Planned Parenthood.
• 51 percent said that they opposed Roe, when they understood it allows for abortion through all 9 months of pregnancy.

I commissioned this poll quite simply because I wanted to know if what our team is seeing on campuses each day is more than just anecdotal success.

I wanted to see whether we could change their minds if we took some of the talking points we use from our campus displays and educate Millennials (ages 18-34) about the truth about how extreme our abortion laws are and how corrupt Planned Parenthood is.

The good news is that the answer is WE DID.

And the results of these poll numbers are so encouraging.

Don't let Planned Parenthood or the Abortion Lobby deceive you into believing anything else.

Forty-six years after the Supreme Court handed down Roe and Doe, after the question of abortion was supposed to be "settled," our generation is THE PRO-LIFE GENERATION!
