Thoughts on Supreme Court Nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh

by Kerby Anderson: Let me begin by congratulating Judge Brett Kavanaugh for his nomination to the Supreme Court. This is a great honor for him and his family. Let me also thank President Donald Trump for keeping his word and nominating another person to the high court who reveres the Constitution and understands the proper role of the judiciary. Our prayers are with President Trump and Judge Kavanaugh.

In his various opinions, he has demonstrated a commitment to interpreting the Constitution in its original sense. He understands the founding principles that have given us life and liberty in America. He has also shown a deep respect for the role of the judiciary.

There are, however, some opinions Judge Kavanaugh has written that concern a few of the experts we routinely interview on Point of View. So we welcome the vetting process that will now take place. We encourage you to pray for the US Senate as they consider and evaluate his nomination over the next few weeks.
