Wetangula declares war on Raila, warns of painful revenge

Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula has now declared political war against NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Wetangula on Saturday said he and other NASA co-principals will make Raila's union with President Uhuru Kenyatta very uncomfortable.
He accused Raila of betraying him together with other Nasa leaders; Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, saying, "we have regrouped to teach you a lesson".
There has been a rift within the opposition coalition after Raila Odinga met President Uhuru for dialogue on March 9 without involving them.
Addressing teachers in Chwele during an annual delegates meeting of the Ngarisha Sacco, Wetang'ula said the decision by Raila to meet Uhuru without their knowledge and his removal as minority leader this week on Tuesday was an utter betrayal that won't go unpunished.
"Despite us fighting relentlessly and some people losing their lives, the subsequent conduct of our presidential candidate is not only shocking but a betrayal of the highest order, " Wetang'ula said.
He said while him, Mudavadi and Kalonzo had been advocating for national dialogue, the manner in which it was carried out was not proper.
Wetang'ula said it was wrong for the ODM party to continue doing propaganda that the three principals skipped the Raila swearing-in ceremony on January 30.
He said it was Raila himself who advised them to stay away from the event so that they may fight for him in case he was arrested.
"It is Raila who had told us to stay away, it is wrong for us to be labelled cowards for missing the ceremony because after all, it had no meaning," Wetangula said.
"If a hyena wants to feast on its children, it first starts by accusing them of smelling like a ggoat, Wetang'ula said.
He said they will not accept to be sacrificed by Raila saying they had re- energised to take him and Uhuru head on.
"Let him keep off NASA affairs and concentrate on his new relationship with Jubilee, we are ready to move forward," he said .
Wetang'ula said while Raila has always thought that his greatest competitors are in Jubilee, he will be surprised that the NASA principals he has betrayed will be the ones to fix the last nail on his political coffin.
"The sheep had been worried about the wolf for many of its years but it ended being eaten by the Shepherd," Wetang'ula said.
He told the Luhya community to unite ahead of 2022 behind him and Musalia.
"Let him forget about the luhya community support saying he had the support because Musalia and himself were in Nasa," he said.
Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati said the Western governors were going to meet in two weeks to chat the way forward.
He said what had happened to Wetang'ula was a wake-up call to the mulembe community.
