A new Indiana bill would require the Indianapolis Colts to refund any fan who requested it due to the kneeling protests.
The bill is slightly more specific, requiring that the fan request the refund within the first quarter of the game. It also does not require the refund be given when it is the opposing team that kneels, not the Colts.
The protests began in 2015 when now-disgraced quarterback Colin Kaepernick became the first person to take a kneel for the anthem. The protest has caught on with other players in the league and has spread to now dozens of players choosing to kneel during the anthem.
The bill was introduced to the Indiana State House by Representative Milo Smith who felt that something had to be done to punish the team for allowing players to kneel.
