Matiang'i declares Tuesday a holiday for Uhuru swearing-in

The government has declared November 28 a public holiday for President Uhuru Kenyatta's swearing-in.

In a gazette notice on Thursday, acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i said the holiday is in line with the Assumption of the Office of President Act.

"It is notified for the public that in accordance to the provisions, Tuesday shall be a public holiday."

The ceremony will take place at Kasarani stadium from 10am to afternoon.
