Uhuru wants to remain in power 'forever' - Salim Lone

NASA campaign strategist Salim Lone claims Jubilee Party is passing laws to ensure they remain in power "forever".

He cited President Uhuru Kenyatta's "relentless attacks and threats to CJ David Maraga".

"Jubilee plans to prevent Supreme Court from annulling elections are designed to rally his base and assure them power will always stay with them. Not just till 2022, but forever," he added.

In a statement to newsrooms on Wednesday, Salim said the monumental crisis Kenya faces is no longer about who is the rightful president.

Jubilee is expected to marshal its MPs to push for amendments to sections of the Election Laws over the annulment of the presidential poll.

Parliamentary sittings will resume today.

Jubilee, which enjoys a majority in the Senate and the National Assembly, wants to make it mandatory for a petitioner to prove to the Supreme Court that violations of the constitution or any electoral law alter the presidential outcome, as declared by the IEBC.
