Raila is behind 'hopeless' petition against Justice Njoki Ndung'u - Murkomen

Kenyans on twitter have criticised Kipchumba Murkomen after he attacked Opposition leader Raila Odinga over Lady Justice Njoki Ndung'u petition.

This was after Lawyer Apollo Mboya filed a petition against the Supreme Court judge seeking her removal over gross misconduct.

Mboya, in an affidavit accompanying the petition sent to the JSC, said Ndung'u should be removed from office for breaching her oath of office.

"@RailaOdinga has filed a hopeless petition against Ndungu through @MboyaApollo. How come he ain't being castigated like @ngunjiriwambugu?" the Elgeyo Marakwet senator asked via twitter on Saturday.

His remarks attracted heavy criticism from his supporters and followers alike.

"Oh, so Ngunjiri Wambugu was Uhuru Kenyatta's? Confirmed by Majority Tweep in the Senate," Lone Felix‏ said.

Pol010‏ said: "Twitter-lawyer! So its right to conclude that NW (Ngunjiri) was just a proxy used by Uhuru kenyatta to intimidate the able judges at the SCORK?"

Tony Watima‏ said: "Textbook lawyer, have you read Ngunjiri's "Vioja Mahakamani" petition to compare it with Apollo Mboya's?"

"Because we all know that Raila doesn't hire clowns to do his work," Selina Okora‏ said.

Mali-Davy jr said: "You are always baseless and petty!"

"Can someone file a petition through somebody? Which law mheshimiwa did u study? If there is such kind of petition, Raila can never do that," Joseph Mboo 044‏ said.

Julius Zacheous‏ said: "Same as @UKenyatta changing laws through @kipmurkomen in the Senate and Parliament. Empty brains. Why panic if you have numbers."

"That’s all you said for the election petition. Your problem is inferiority and hatred," a user identified as Calvo‏ said.

Jangwaya_Rawllince said: "Why are you so obsessed with @RailaOdinga. Worship @Ruto with confidence like a man. Legal socialite. You're a big disgrace to democracy."

But other users said NASA and Jubilee were competing to assault independent institutions like the Judiciary and IEBC.

"Jubilee and NASA seem to be competing against each other in the assault against independent institutions. A sad state of affairs," Joel Kimari said.

In the petition, Mboya says it was not humanly possible for Ndung'u to examine all the disputed forms from August 28 to September 1, being the date of the judgement.

In paragraph 662 of her dissenting judgement, Ndung'u said the the majority did not personally examine the original forms deposited at the registry.

The judge said that in the interest of justice, she examined each of the forms that had been disputed.

"In her summary she did not allude to the fact that she examined and verified each forms before arriving at the dissent," Mboya said.

This is the third petition to be filed against Supreme Court judges in the wake of its decision which has staged a fresh vote on October 26.

The first petition was filed by Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu challenging the suitability of Chief Justice David Maraga.

The other was that against Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and Judge Isaac Lenaola which challenges their integrity.

This was filed by Derrick Ngumu on grounds that the judges are linked to the National Super Alliance leaders.
