I have not been summoned by court martial, says KDF spokesman Owuoth

KDF spokesman Joseph Owuoth has denied reports he will appear before a court martial for allegedly "working with hostile individuals and enemies of the state".

There were claims on social media that Owuoth will appear before a military court on Thursday.

"It not true. I have received three calls about this but I am going on with my work. I am not aware of anything like that," he told The Star said on phone today.

He said allegations that he intends to bring down the ruling coalition are false and asked Kenyans to stop spreading rumours.

Nyanza politicians raised the alarm on Tuesday saying the spokesman had gone missing, days after IEBC acting ICT director Chris Msando was found dead.

Concerns about Owouth also arose from documents presented by the National Super Alliance on Operation Dumisha Utulivu.

Presidential candidate Raila Odinga said they had evidence of an audacious plan by Jubilee and top military commanders to use force to subvert Tuesday's election with a rigged outcome.

The Defence ministry and acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i have denied these claims and Owuoth said there is no cause for alarm.
