. . . "For every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction" (Or There Should Be)
by Dr. Jack Sternberg, Contributing Author: I know we won the election. I know we got Donald Trump elected. I know we now have a majority in the U. S. Senate and House of Representatives. I know 31 state Governors are Republicans as are the majority of their state representatives.
BUT THAT'S NO LONGER ENOUGH!
The liberal left has waged outright war on our present government and President since he was elected. They are trying to kick the crap out of us despite the fact that we now are in power.
And what have we on the conservative right done about them? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! We have just sat back, watched and complained and then allowed the left to run wild.
It's time to invoke Newton's Third Law of Motion. It's time for us to respond equally in the opposite direction to what they are doing. As long as we don't, they will feel further empowered to continue their nasty actions.
Let's just use the simple example of the left's intimidation of companies and individuals. They have targeted companies for boycott such as Amazon, Sears, K-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Under Armor, Nordstrom's and many, many more for either selling Trump brands or for supporting Trump or conservative values. Many companies have chosen to be intimidated by these threats of boycott and have distanced themselves from Trump. Many liberal CEO's have chosen to spend corporate (not personal) money and resources to support liberal causes (such as Starbucks, Uber).
So here's the opposite and equal reaction. The 47% of Americans who voted for President Trump (63 million people) plus others should show their anger and disgust towards these companies by totally boycotting them for their actions and letting them know of the boycott. How long will Sears stay in business if the majority of their customers stop buying from them? How much more will the profits of these corporations drop from our actual boycott compared to the threat of boycott from the left? These companies need to know there is a price to pay for caving into the left's intimidation and they need to feel the pressure from the right when they act irresponsibly. On the flip side, we should openly and materially show our support for those companies that don't cave in and those that support conservative values.
Conservative singers and actors have been intimidated and threatened while liberal singers and actors have viciously and publicly attacked President Trump and all of his policies and people and conservative values.
The same 47% should boycott those persons in the entertainment industry by not buying their records or albums and never going to their concerts, never watching their television programs nor going to their movies. And it can start with a total boycott of watching awards ceremonies that trash our values and us and our President.
Why will this work? Remember the bank robber Willie Sutton and Sutton's Law. They asked Wille why he robs banks, his response was, "You go where the money is." If businesses thought they would lose more due to conservatives boycotting them than liberals threatening, they would ignore the liberal threats and many of them would even shut up rather than face an angry Board of Directors over financial loses.
This really is no different than what we on the right have been doing individually to liberal, left leaning newspapers and television and cable "news" shows. Newspaper circulation (the New York Times and others) is decreasing as are the viewers for CNN and MSNBC while Fox News channels viewership is increasing. But now, I suggest we do it as a group rather than individually and to expand our displeasure.
Hear me people. The left's tactics are effective and gaining momentum. Yet, we have unbelievable power to do what's right. It's time we exercised that power and stop the left's ability to bring to an end what we all voted for and desire for America.
I call on our local, state and national Tea Party groups to seize on this idea as our next Tea Party objective. Let's attempt to energize the Make America Great Again movement to action. We have gained so much over the last eight years. Our objective should now be to save and add to our gains and not just sit back passively.
We have shown our power at the voting booth. Now let's show our power and resolve in the marketplace. As Wayne Allen Root just said, "It's time for us as conservatives to take action."
Let's gather the Patriots once again and LET'S ROLL!
