There was silence

Yesterday when father came late from the bar,
He started slapping mother and wounding her healing scar.
Mother went straight to the kitchen, and brought hot water in a jar
She said that today is today... that she'll teach dad how to become a man.

Yesterday when mom went to kitchen, and came with hot water in a jar,
Daddy said he will beat her to death, and run out of town with her car
He called her the buttocks of a duck, and hit her with a bottle of liquor.
Then mom burnt his face with hot water.. and broke his television plus the speakers.

Yesterday when mom burnt dad's face... and then broke his television plus the speakers,
Dad grabbed her hair with anger and pulled it from her head with his fingers.
I picked dad's bottle of liquor and hit him on the head while screaming.
Dad fell, with a thud, on the floor... His nose and ears were bleeding

There was silence...
