Ted Cruz Wins Iowa Caucus

Bill Smith, ARRA News Service: Tonight, Senator Ted Cruz won the Iowa caucus in a record turnout of about 185,000 republicans caucus voters. With 98% reporting Cruz received 27.7% of the votes and 8 delegates. Donald Trump was second with 24.3%, Marco Rubio third with 23.1%, Ben Carson fourth, with 9.3% and Ron Paul fifth with 4.5%.

Rick Santorum who previously won the Iowa Caucus in 2012 only secured 1% of he 2016  voted.  

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee who previously won the Iowa Caucus in 2008 garnered 1.8% of the votes and announced that he was suspending his campaign.  Other results follow:
