Former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) Suspends Presidentical Campaign

ARRA News Service: Without a lot of fan fare or a press release, Sen. Rick Santorium announced today in an exclusive interview on Fox New's "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" that he had suspended his suspending his 2016 presidential campaign. He also endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL).

Santorum who previously won the Iowa Caucus in 2012 only secured 1% of the 2016 votes.

Santorum said that he came to the decision to suspend his campaign after discussing it with his wife Karen after the Iowa caucuses.

"We decided that we could be better advocates in supporting someone who shared those values and will do better in this race," Santorum told Van Susteren.

While saying he does not "endorse lightly," Santorum described Rubio as "the new generation, and someone who can bring the country together."

"We wanted to find a candidate that really espoused the values we believed in," he said.
