Transformation by ?Shifting the Trillions?

"Woe to the land that's governed by a child." - Shakespeare, Richard III

by Pat Carlson: The latest international climate change conference (COP21) opened in Paris, France, November 30, with an unprecedented 150 heads of state attending and speaking the first day. This included President Obama.

Heads of state usually arrive in the last few of days of a conference before it concludes. Every leader spoke with absolute certainty that human induced global warming had to be stopped with an agreement in Paris or every calamity imaginable would occur to the human race and good old Mother Earth.

In true form, Obama couldn't wait to apologize for this country. "I've come . . . as the leader of the world's largest economy and the second largest emitter, to say . . . the United States of America not only recognizes our role in creating this problem, we embrace our responsibility. . . ." Then he repeated the same tired mantra of "fourteen of the fifteen warmest years on record have occurred since the year 2000 — and 2015 is on pace to be the warmest year of all."

A few days later, we were graced with the presence of Al Gore telling us "we are emitting 110 million tonnes of heat trapping manmade global warming pollution every day and the cumulative amount traps an amount of extra heat energy each day equivalent to that which would be released by 400,000 Hiroshima class atomic bombs exploding every 24 hours." The question bears asking, how are we all not dead from all that radiation? The truth is, according to satellite temperature readings, the Earth has had no significant warming since 1998.

Why is the manmade global warming lie still being told when the deep dark secret was let out of the bag in 2012 at COP18 at Doha, Qatar by UNFCCC Executive Secretary, Christiana Figueres when she revealed the whole climate change process is a "complete transformation of the economic structure of the world."

She stated last February, "This is probably the most difficult task we have given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history."

Just two days ago she said, COP21 "is not a discussion about the temperature. That is just a proxy. The discussion is about the decarbonization of the economy."

The head of the U. S. delegation, Todd Stern, told reporters this week "this whole exercise of this agreement is part of and our efforts are part of, whether internationally or domestically, is to accelerate the transformation of the energy base of the global economy."

IS ANYONE LISTENING? THIS CONFERENCE IS NOT ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING!

The goal of the COP21 agreement will be to have a carbon neutral world by 2050 – no oil, coal, gas – only renewables by 2050. The plan to accomplish this is to move the global economy away fossil fuels to a low carbon development through "a just transition" or a "shifting of the trillions."

"Shifting the trillions" is being done on many fronts. A group called 350.Org works to get institutions to divest any fossil fuel stocks. They claim 500 institutions have divested $3.4 trillion in assets. Additionally, Bill Gates has signed on a laundry list of the world's richest and most powerful people to invest billions in alternative energy.

Then on the home front, we have the President and the Democrats. Ten Democrat U. S. Senators were at COP21 Saturday to "have the back of the President and the U. S. negotiating team." The senators were Ed Markey (MA), Chris Coon (DE), Jeff Merkley (OR), Tom Udall (NM), Ben Cardin (MD), Sheldon Whitehouse (RI), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), Al Franken (MN), Brian Schatz (HI), and Cory Booker (NJ).

They spoke about "driving capital to clean energy" and Senator Merkley's "keep it in the ground campaign." He said 80% of identified fossil fuel reserves have "to stay in the ground if we are going to save our planet." Also, they want to keep any future drilling leases from being issued.

They stated that the COP21 document doesn't need to be binding because everything is being negotiated under the original United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) treaty the U.S. Senate ratified in 1992. It is already binding.

They claim everything the Obama administration has done and is doing to regulate the fossil fuel industry and the transportation sector is also legal under this treaty.

COP21 is moving ahead under full steam. Obama has committed $30 billion to the Green Climate Fund to be paid over four years and he's asking for $500 million this year. In the two days he was in Paris, he committed $51 million to the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Fund and $30 million to Risk Insurance for Island States. He did this while meeting with some Island States referring to himself as "an island boy."

We have to contact our Republican Congress and insist they stand up against this domestic and global takeover. We have to insist they stop funding this regime's every whim. We have to insist they stand up against the takeover of our economy with the demise of the fossil fuel industry.
