THE NEWLY CROWNED MISS WORLD KENYA 2015 CHARITY MWANGI WILL BLOW YOU AWAY! (PHOTOS)



Charity Mwangi is the newly crowned Miss World Kenya 2015.She won this coveted crown at a colorful ceremony that was held on Saturday night at the Weston Hotel.

The 22 year old from  Kiambu county  was the fairest of all 10 contestants who have qualified to the finals.She is also a student at the Kenyatta University pursuing a degree in Agricultural resource management.

"I'm excited to have won. I am aware these are big shoes to fill and I will do my best to live up to the standard and represent my country well," said Ms Mwangi on receiving the crown from the incumbent Idah Nguma.

The beauty queen will now represent Kenya at the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant which will be held on 19 December 2015 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China.

Kajiado County's Margaret Muchemi was named first runners up winning Sh 100,000, while Murang'a County's Olive Waithera clinched the second runners up award pocketing a cash prize of Ksh 50,000.

The coronation ceremony was headlined with great performances from Jamaican reggae group Morgan Heritage who then left the country on Sunday and Jazz maestro Joseph Hellon,among others.
