Maseno University Closed Indefinitely After 2 students reported dead following Election Chaos.

Maseno University located near Kisumu has been closed indefinitely after two students died following union elections chaos on Monday October 12, 2015.
Seven people had been rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital with serious injuries when election campaigns turned chaotic on Monday night, where the two succumbed to injuries.
Chaos erupted on Monday evening when police barred the students students from holding their campaigns along the Maseno-Busia highway.
Opposing sides in the campaign trail went on the rampage, at some point blocking the highway.
Police were forced to disperse them using teargas.
Some of the injured students had jumped out of a moving lorry that they were using for campaigns, when police lobbed teargas at them.
The deaths and injuries triggered more protests at the university, which forced the administration to shut the school indefinitely on Tuesday October 13 at around 11am, giving students 30 minutes to vacate the insitution.
