Greta And Cain Discuss Poll Showing Fiorina Destroying Hillary in Iowa

by Herman Cain: And yes, I really said Hillary is a . . .

Socialist. Because she is. Hillary tends to couch her language more than Bernie Sanders does. She'll promise a bunch of free stuff to one crowd of people, then pretend she meant something else when talking to the next one. But when you examine the arc of her politicl career and the strategies she uses in the pursuit of the presidency, it's clear that Hillary thinks the way to go is give more people more free stuff at the expense of liberty.

That makes her a socialist. What it doesn't do is appeal to mainstream America, as is evidenced by the latest NBC/WSJ/Marist poll of Iowa showing Carly Fiorina destroying Hillary there by a 52-40 margin. It's not just Fiorina, either. Jeb Bush and Donald Trump hold solid leads over Hillary in Iowa too, but on our segment last night, Greta and I focused on why Fiorina is resonating so much with people:
About my statement that, if Fiorina does not win the nomination, the nominee should select her as his running mate: I believe this would have enormous benefits to the eventual Republican ticket. Fiorina works hard, does her homework, knows her stuff and doesn't back down - whether that's to a liberal trying to tear her down or to some media inquisitor trying to trip her up with some ridiculous premise. I have yet to see a single entanglement in which anyone took on Carly Fiorina and came away looking like a winner.

None of this would matter, of course, if Fiorina wasn't capable of stepping in to the presidency at a moment's notice. But she is! She's demonstrated that so clearly throughout the course of this campaign, and anyone in America should be comfortable knowing that Fiorina would be next in line if, God forbid, anything would happen.

And oh, by the way, you do know that Iowa voted for Obama twice, right? If Hillary is having this much trouble there, what does that say about her ability to win crucial swing states like Florida and Ohio? I guess that's what happens when you try to convince everyone you're inevitable, when you haven't actually convinced anyone you're even minimally qualified - and it becomes more apparent with each day that you're not.
