1824 WHISKEY BAR APOLOGIZES AND PAYS MEDICAL BILLS TO INJURED UON STUDENTS



The 1824 Whiskey bar which is located along Lang'ata road has come out to apologize to University of Nairobi students after they caused an uproar over some of their colleagues being beaten and injured.

In a letter written by SONU chairman Babu Owino to the Inspector general of Police,it was alleged that severalstudents of the varsity had been roughed up by the club's bouncers leaving them severly injured.

  "In the recent past alone, more than a dozen students from the university had been harassed and beaten by the 1824 staff," SONU leader Babu Owino noted in the letter.



Photos of the injured students spread like wildfire social media and this illicted various reactions from the public including supporting the students demonstration over the matter.



 The bar's management said in a letter adressed to Babu that they stronly condemn violence and those responsible will be arrained in court.The letter also added that the entertainment joint will pay the medical bills of those affected in full,which infact the chairman confirmed that the bills were paid.
