Deejays in Kenya are not a happy lot,they are angry and it has gotten to a point where some of them have vowed not to play Kenyan music.Here is why.
One Fm morning show presenter DNG recently took to social media to announce a fee that all djs should pay inorder to get a license to play Kenyan music just a couple of days after he landed himself a new job at the Kenya Association of Music Producers (KAMP) and at the Performers Rights Society Of Kenya (PRISK)
This illicited a chain of reactions from various Kenyan Djs who viewed this as a way of siphoning their hard earned money from them with the pretence that they are supporting local talent if they pay to play 254 music.
