Nigerian singer Davido is a wanted man by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency as he is under investigation because of the hard drugs he showed off in his new video Fans Mi which features American rapper Meek Mill.
The said video clearly captures Davido discussing with another man over a briefcase full of what looks like cocaine which is a hard drug. What even makes it worse is the fact that at the tail end of the video the cocaine like drug is used to make food which looks like 'Ugali' a Kenyan delicacy made from maize flour.
During an interview with New Telegraph, the NDLEA head of public affairs Mr.Mitchell Ofoyeju said,
"The agency considers the musical video, 'Fans Mi' inappropriate and indecent. It has the tendency to negatively influence and induce drug use and trafficking. Besides, it is counter-productive on the campaign against drug production, trafficking and abuse. The agency is also investigating the matter and will take necessary action."
Mrs Noella O'Peters a popular music critic also chipped in on this and added that
"It's really outrageous seeing a brand ambassador and a mentor to millions of African youths indulging in such acts. He even went as far as using the substance for cooking in the video.
Can you imagine! It's uncalled for. I do hope the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation will do something about the video."
