West Ham fined by Fifa after dispute with Senegalese FA over Sakho

West Ham United have been fined US$108,061 (Sh9,888,995.65) by Fifa following a dispute with the Senegalese FA over Diafra Sakho who played in an FA Cup match having withdrawn from the squad for the African Nations Cup. West Ham claimed Sakho, who was issued with a reprimand, could not play for Senegal due to a back injury but 18 days after pulling out of the squad he scored the only goal in their FA Cup fourth round win at Bristol City.
