JUDGES and Magistrates Vetting Board chairman Sharad Rao has accused the Supreme Court of interfering with the board's work. The court on Friday ruled the board exceeded its mandate by firing 13 magistrates. Rao said the decision limits the role of the board to determine the suitability of the judges and magistrates since appointment to August 27, 2010. He spoke at Imperial Hotel, Kisumu, on Monday during the vetting of magistrates in Western.
