Laikipia Nature Conservancy director roots for livestock limit law

Laikipia Nature Conservancy director Kuki Gallmann has urged the government to come up with a law and policy on the limits on the number of animals that should be kept in a pastoralist land. In a statement yesterday, Gallmann pastoralists fronm East Pokot, Baringo county, graze their livestock in her conservancy and set her property on fire when she resists. She said the communities keep excess livestock and are forced by circumstances to roam beyond their territories and trespass into other people's property.
