New mandatory state health insurance contributions will be gazetted next week, Deputy President William Ruto has said, implying that deduction of the enhanced rates from employees' payslips could begin in February or March. NHIF in a separate communication said it is in the final stages of consultations on the revised contributions to pave way for the roll out of enhanced benefits which include soutpatient medical cover.
