The Kenya Bureau of Standards has extended the contract for two motor vehicle pre-shipment inspection companies by 90 days. Kebs managing director Charles Ongwae allowed Quality Inspection Services Inc, Japan and Auto Terminal Japan to continue offering the services effective tomorrow. The standards body had last month awarded the vehicles pre-shipment contract to QISJ but the matter was taken to the procurement appeals board by Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Centre Company Ltd and East Africa Automobile Services.
