Garissa government will adopt automated systems in September to improve its revenue collection. This will increase revenue from Sh96 million per annum to Sh500 million per annum, the head of a taskforce implementing the system said yesterday. "We have started down this road of self-emancipation by recruiting officers to collect and account for revenue," Salah Yaqub said. He was speaking during the induction of 40 revenue and enforcement officers at a Garissa hotel.
