EXCLUSIVE: Dirty Secrets Revealed of Went Down at Macha New Years Eve Concert and Why it Was a Big FLOP!

The much hyped Macha New Years Eve Concert turned out to be the biggest flop ever. I personally I must say I smelt a rat when the event was to take three days non-stop. In Kenya's history I have never seen an event that takes three days non-stop, may be the one Henry 'Carlos' Kioko must have had a great idea considering the fact that Masaku has been the most preferred destination when it comes to "YOLOWING" but it was not the same case this time round.

You are About to be surprised on what happened at Macha this time round.

I arrived in Machakos People's Park on Wednesday  31st Dec 2014 at around 5PM only to surprised at the gate that I was supposed to pay KES 500, on asking I was told the plan has changed and people were required to buy tickets on a daily basis not as initially planned paying KES 1500 for the event.

That did not deter me from proceeding with new year's eve plan. Getting in the park I was treated yet to another shock as people inside the venue could barely amount to 100.. Alas I thought this was to be the biggest event ever in Kenya? Well that was not going to be the case.

I was thought to be patient and so I had to say to myself may be its not yet time for people to show up, and indeed it was not yet the right time as people started to stream in at around 9PM but not as many as you I had imagined.

At first it was time for Gospel Artists to perform as Bahati, Willy Paul and the rest took it to the stage to perform but after a short engagement with the event organizer's. At this time something big was about to blow up.

I had to find what the engagement was only to be told that the Artist were demanding for their payments before they get on stage as this was part of the agreement. It took the intervention of Machakos County Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua and promised the Artists he could pay them as the event organizer at this time had gone missing and he could not be traced.

It was time for Secular Artists to perform and it was required all the Minors in the venue to get out as it was going to turn out to be a ratchet event. Hold on? I thought this was meant to be a family event? why should minors quit? well I could not get an answer but later on I came to realize it was a way of sending off people from the venue since the secular artists had declined to perform after realizing they were not going to be paid as the organizer was no where to be seen.

At this point the lights were being switched off and the sound system going mute forever as their was no action taking place anymore. People were forced to leave as they had no choice.

The following day the bouncers on the venue closed all the gates forced the sponsors who were at this time trying to wrap up their their Items not get out of the venue unless they have been paid threatening to destroy everything. Again it took the intervention of the Governor and promised to pay the bouncers who later let the sponsors to leave the venue.

What followed later on was a tweet from the Governor calling for the arrest of Carlos the promoter for not paying the involved parties and claiming that Carlos was owing his county close to 1 Million Kenyan Shillings.

And now the Fake Promoter Henry 'Carlos' Kioko is a wanted Man.
