Cattle rustlers on Monday raided Muchongoi, Baringo South, and stole more than 200 head of cattle and 300 sheep. Hundreds of families have fled to Kabel trading centre. Lomoiwe and Kapchir primary schools have been closed. This brings the number of schools closed due to insecurity to 10. Chief Patrick Chepsoi said the more than 70 armed rustlers drove the animals towards Pokot county. He said a woman and her 13-year-old son are missing.
