Wajir under attack as gunmen attack Night Club and AP camp

One person is dead and several injured after a armed group attacked Ngamia club and the nearby AP camp in Wajir, the attackers believed to be Al Shabaab militants engaged patrolling police officers in a fierce gun fight before running away. Two blasts rocked the area before the gunshots were heard.

Wajir and Mandera have become hotspots after the Al Shabaab militia invaded this two counties last month 28 people were killed in Mandera in a bus attack and tonight in wajir they invaded the Ngamia club which is popular with people who work in the military, police and other people outside North Eastern Kenya.

As by 9:12 Pm Gunshots are still rocking wajir town with the gunmen believed to have nearly surrounded the town.
