Two robbers were shot dead yesterday outside GTBank, Kimathi Street. Police said that they had planned to rob a forex bureau nearby. It is reported that some suspects managed to escape, while a stray bullet hit a bystander.
In what is becoming custom of the police, robbers are not being given a chance to live to tell the story. A video circulating online shows a police officer adding more bullets to an already dying robber, perhaps to confirm the job was complete.
It’s not clear why an officer supposed to safeguard the law would act like so, considering this was at the centre of the CBD with multiple CCTVs, TV and mobile phone cameras.
