Kenya: Fares From Nairobi Hiked to Cover Losses As Few People Travelling Back

Operators of Passenger Service Vehicles have hiked fares from Nairobi to upcountry destinations to counter losses made on return trips because of few or no passengers. "There are more passengers compared to the vehicles available to travel upcountry but buses are coming back with few or no passengers at all so there is need to compensate for the fuel used on each trip," one operator told KNA on Wednesday.
