Silas Jakakimba has said he will vie for Homa Bay Senate seat on a United Democratic Movement party after ODM gave direct ticket to Moses Kajwang'. The former aide to Raila Odinga quit ODM over what he termed as 'unfair nomination process'. Jakakimba resigned from the Orange Democratic Movement on Tuesday last week. The former Raila aide was welcomed to UDM by party officials and given the post of acting deputy National Chairman. He said UDM is a strong, dedicated member of the CORD family.
