Civil servants put on notice

KISUMU Civil servants have been accused of interfering with management of the Uwezo Fund. The fund's committee members led by Stephen Saikogi said they have reports from constituencies that subcounty officers are undermining chairpersons. "We should be allowed to independently manage the fund if its objectives are to be realised," he said. Saikogi said interference has led to misinformation about the fund's purpose. "At the end of the day we have poor communication from the Uwezo Fund Board," he told the press in Kisumu town on Monday.
