NTV's senior reporter/news anchor, Ken Mijungu over the weekend had a bad experience with Police who gave him a dog beating because he is a media personality.
Below is a post he shared on his social media timeline while narrating the horrific experience he encountered.
Today I faced what many Kenyan's face every single day on the roads.
1. I was harassed just because I am 'a presenter' by two traffic cops along Moi Avenue. The accused me falsely of speaking on phone yet I wasn't. In fact it was too far inside my pocket.
2. They wanted to enter my car and when I refused they barred me from leaving by standing right in front of my car
3. They brought a tow car and rudely declared they will tow my car with me inside. However the unrelenting public refused to allow them and came to my recue just in time before they could pull their chains. My boss finally brought some order.
They were malicious Traffic Commandant Chalton Mureithi and IG David Kimaiyo should know that those officers are rogue. From how they acted to how they exited. It's unfair to discriminate any Kenyan. A police officer is supposed to bring order not to create chaos. Their acts should have a bearing in law and must be according to the law.
