NAIROBI Governor Evans Kidero has lashed out at the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission for trying to rein in fundraisers. The EACC has cautioned leaders against illegally soliciting funds to be donated at harambees. EACC chairman Mumo Matemo says that the anti-graft agency will take action against any elected leader who violates the Leadership and Integrity Act (2012) by engaging in harambees to woo political support.
