Raila Odinga is destroying himself piece by piece, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has said, adding "gods make blind those they wish to destroy".
Via Twitter on Sunday, Ngunyi added: "In his blindness, Raila is destroying himself one piece at a time. One lie after another."
His message came after the Opposition leader asked his supporters not to go to work on Monday ahead of a key announcement on Tuesday. He noted he will not allow President Uhuru Kenyatta to get away with “another stolen victory”.

Ngunyi's view was retweeted at least 617 times, some asking him to stop issuing remarks that could have negative effects.
James Omae said: "You should know that I have not and will not destroy anything because of politics. But Mutahi should stop irritating us."
'@ArebaSilas' wrote: "You should be arrested for malicious talk that is threatening national cohesion. Raila represents 50 per cent of Kenyans."
'@EddyEddie9' noted that without the Opposition, Ngunyi would not be posting "vitu za ujinga (stupid things)" and added "Raila deserves much respect".
But other users supported the analyst saying the National Super Alliance chief should respect the people's will.
"Voters should be respected too...he should respect the people's will," said '@JeremyGichuki'.
'@dkibichii' said "As long as [Siaya Seantor] James Orengo is behind Raila, Raila will keep destroying himself."
Orengo served as the coalition's alternate chief agent for the presidential election.
Raila has said he will not run for president again but that the world must see what is happening in Kenya.
Nairobi Governor-elect Mike Sonko said the NASA principal does not have the right to ask people to skip work as only the President can declare a public holiday.
