Deputy President has defended his deep purse and said his wealth is clean.
"I declared my wealth several times when I was a Member of Parliament," William Ruto said in a TV interview.
Cord leader Raila Odinga has several times asked the president to order a lifestyle audit of his deputy to establish the source of his wealth.
Raila said the DP is "living beyond his means as his salary alone could not support his expensive lifestyle".
But Ruto said he can account for every shilling he has.
"Anyone who is making allegations against me should come forward and challenge me on matters of corruption," Ruto said.
The DP said he has documents to show how he acquired his wealth adding that he fully supports the idea to have every public servant declare their wealth.
"I fully support lifestyle audit on public servants. I do not have anything to hide; I am ready for a lifestyle audit anytime," he said during an interview on Citizen TV on Sunday.
The DP lashed out at his detractors for propagating claims of his wealth status saying the allegations over his wealth was "false and misguided".
"They said I grabbed a piece of land on Ngong Road, we went to court and that case was dismissed. They made allegations about Lang'ata Road Primary School but that too was proven to be false," he said.
In January 2015, The National Land Commission Chairman Muhammad Swazuri said preliminary investigations revealed that the land belongs to the school.
Ruto reiterated that the plot in which the school stands is not his adding that he has documents to show that "I borrowed money to build my houses in Karen and Eldoret".
"There is a story behind every property I own and I even defaulted at some point before continuing with the payment of my house," he said.
He further defended his constant contributions in harambees saying giving is not about wealth but a matter of the heart.
On December 1, the Star established that Ruto has given out at least Sh17 million in harambees in 76 days alone – excluding contributions from his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Star monitored Ruto's fund-raisers across the country since September 13, as questions emerge about the DP's source of funds.
