I am ready to take my jembe and till this land today!
I will till it till I breathe like a dying giant today.
I will till it till I sigh and drink water when I sweat,
The soils are already wet.. and my biceps have begun to erect.
I am ready to plant some seeds in this wet land today!
I will plant and plant and plant till I get tired today.
The more my neighbours sit and steal glances from their windows,
The more I will plant seeds here, even if the owner is a widow.
I am ready to add more water on this wet soil today.
I will water it everday till my seeds sprout from the ground.
I will then put a scarecrow to frighten hyenas which loiter around.
The day I will find a man here,
I will hit him with a bottle of Beer.
