'I HATE THAT PEOPLE LIKE NJOKI CHEGE THINK FAT SHAMING IS OK' - SAYS CAROLINE MUTOKO

Former radio queen Caroline Mutoko has joined the bandwagon of celebrities who went all out to roast Daily Nation writer Njoki Chege for her infamous Fat shaming article on Saturday.

Njoki Chege wrote,"It is getting out of hand, dear readers. These misguided fat women think that big is beautiful and they are even calling themselves 'authentic African women'.What nonsense! I don't know how many times I am going to repeat this, but big is not beautiful. If you are a woman weighing over 80 kilos, you qualify to be called fat and somebody has to break it down for you and tell you the truth.You are not sexy. You are just a deluded big mama that needs to lose weight.There is nothing sexy about being 96 kilos and there is absolutely nothing lovely about those love handles or that paunch."

Now on her weekly column on the Star Newspaper,'Mutoko Monday' Caroline speaks for all the 'fat women' gives the size 8 Njoki Chege a piece of her mind in a lengthy article why her story should have never seen the light of day.

 The article titled Its not what I am,Its what eating me reads in part, "I hate that people like Njoki Chege think Fat Shaming is Ok and since fat people are not human and therefore have no feelings, it is acceptable for you take to the Saturday Nation Newspaper to tell them what you think of their bodies! Here is the thing, as such people sit there judging me and all the fat people in the world, nobody cares to know what the underlying cause of that obesity might have been. I am torn between pissed off and saddened because some editor of a national newspaper thinks it is ok for a large section of the population to get insulted and neither do they care of the repercussions..."

Then she goes on to say,"So here is my response to the size 8 columnist called Njoki Chege who would prefer we Fat people do not talk back after she tears us apart... This is the real world so open up those ears Miss Chege and hear what this Fat Woman has to say. (PS:- this response also includes all popcorn grabbing social mediarati who stand aside and silently agree with her and giggle."

Other celebrities who have responded include Neomi Ng'ang'a of One Fm and Catherine Kamau of Ebru Africa.
