The Nairobi area has been going through a particularly violent period in recent weeks. From Friday, September 18 through Monday, September 21 Police reported that a staggering 27 murders took place.
Many of the murders came as a result of domestic disturbances or armed robberies gone wrong. One particularly bloody incident of domestic abuse came on the evening of Sunday, October 4.
