Five family members died on the spot after their car lost control and plunged into a river at Midoti in Migori County early Friday morning. According to St John Ambulance the five were from the same family. They were coming from Christmas festivities when their driver lost control and overturned. The five died hours after three other people were killed in Bungoma on Christmas day. One person died on the spot, two others succumed to injuries according to Kenya Red Cross.
